Frequently Asked Question
When printing confidential documents, you should use a feature called “Locked Print” which is available in “Printer Properties”
Under Job Type select 'Locked Print' and then click Details
Next ensure User ID is set to Windows Login Name and enter a 4 digit password (note you only need to do this once - for subsequent prints, the last password you entered will be used)
Once you click OK and then print, the printer will not immediately release the document, but wait until you enter the password.
Once at the printer, select 'Quick Print Release' from the screen
You should see your username with a padlock icon next to it, which you should select.
You'll then be prompted to enter the password you set earlier.
Finally, you'll see your document(s) available. Select it/them and then press 'Print'
