Frequently Asked Question
Scenario - I'd like to draw on the digital screen in the room, and share with the meeting attendees.
There's 2 ways to use the digital Whiteboard:
1. In a teams meeting
2. Outside a teams meeting (using the whiteboard in the room only)
1. To Share in a meeting:
You can use Microsoft Whiteboard to share a whiteboard in a meeting.
Requirements:
* You must have scheduled the meeting in advance. - whiteboard isn't available for instant meetings (this will hopefully change in a future software updates)
* You need to have a PC / Laptop available, that's also joined to the meeting.
On a laptop that's part of the meeting, click the Share button in Teams:
scroll down and select Whiteboard:
Select "Collaborate":
You should then see a shared whiteboard, which everyone, including the Teams Room, can write on.
To write on the whiteboard, use the pens that are magnetically attached to either side of the screen. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER PENS! - they will not work, and are likely to damage the screen. speak to DTI if pens are missing.
2. To share outside a meeting:
to use the whiteboard outside a meeting, you can use the screen's built in whiteboard. to do this:
Click the "Arrow" icon on the Left or right hand side of the screen:
click Home:
Click Whiteboard:
To write on the whiteboard, use the pens that are magnetically attached to either side of the screen. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER PENS! - they will not work, and are likely to damage the screen. speak to DTI if pens are missing.
